Ricardo B. Echon

FNP-C, Certified Nurse Practitioner and Wound Care Specialist
20+ years of experience

Ricardo Echon began his healthcare journey in the Philippines, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Although he did not originally envision a career in medicine, he always knew that he wanted his life's work to involve helping and caring for others. That desire ultimately led him to nursing and has remained at the heart of his career ever since.

After Ricardo and his wife immigrated to the United States, he worked as a Cardiothoracic Nurse at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. They later moved to California to be closer to family, where he continued his nursing career at ValleyCare Medical Center in Pleasanton. There, he worked in Telemetry and Intermediate Care and also served as a Relief Charge Nurse, gaining valuable experience caring for patients with a wide range of complex medical needs.

Ricardo's compassion extends well beyond the workplace. In his personal time, he has enjoyed visiting elderly individuals in their homes and nursing facilities, offering companionship and sharing his time and talents—especially his love of music. These experiences have strengthened his belief that good healthcare is not simply about treating a medical condition, but about caring for the whole person with kindness, dignity, and respect.

With a strong belief in lifelong learning and personal growth, Ricardo continued his education at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in California, where he earned his Master of Science in Nursing and completed his training as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Today, Ricardo is proud to be part of Patel & Pulliam, apmc, where he brings his extensive nursing experience and compassionate approach to Family Medicine. He is our wound care specialist and takes care of all complicated wounds until they are completely healed. His goal is simple: to listen carefully, treat every patient as an individual, and provide the same thoughtful and personal care he would want for a member of his own family. Serving the Tracy community alongside a dedicated team of medical professionals continues to bring him both joy and a deep sense of fulfillment.
