Dermatology is the study of skin, hair, and nails. Our health care team can diagnose most dermatological conditions and treat them effectively. For chronic rash or skin related concerns, our health care professionals may biopsy the area in question and send samples to UCSF Dermatopathology for accurate diagnosis to initiate treatment and refer to a specialist if needed.
